Nolan loves Asher

For the 8 months of Asher’s life Nolan has been rather neutral to him. He’s never been mean or shown major signs of jealousy. He has just continued on in his own little world, I think trying not to allow Asher’s arrival to rock it too much. But as Asher has gotten older and more animated, Nolan has likewise become more animated with him.

I believe last night Nolan began realizing just how much he loves his little brother. First, he got upset when I put Asher’s milk in the freezer, possibly thinking that he needed it. He got excited when Adelyn came over and commented on how Asher and her were ‘friends’. Then, it was time for bed and we decided to read stories in Asher’s room. Nolan insisted on holding Asher. He showed him pictures in the book. He kissed him and said when asked, “Yes, I do love my baby!” He didn’t want Asher to go to bed and asked if he could sleep in his bed. It was such a memorable moment, rocking the three of us. I wanted to cut it out and glue it in my memory for a lifetime!
